About Jose Ramirez

An accomplished senior executive with over forty years of leadership and managerial experience in Publishing, Information Technology, Corporate Governance, Quality Management, and Finance, serving the Publishing, Pharmaceutical, Animal Health, and Agricultural industries. He has served as CFO for an Animal Health division, and managed Legal, IT, Accounting, and Governance groups. As a Vice President for a top-five global Pharmaceuticals firm, he oversaw the successful $60M complete redesign and replacement of legacy Finance, Manufacturing, Logistics and Customer Service computer applications with modern systems capable of supporting the company’s dynamic growth. He oversaw multiple global cost savings and productivity initiatives, while providing a strong focus on quality and customer service. He is a strong proponent of and leader in Corporate Diversity initiatives. He established an IT Governance organization responsible for audits, quality standards and compliance that improved IT audit results and resulted in millions of dollars in costs savings. As the publishing world began to evolve, in 2010 he co-founded Pedernales Publishing, LLC. to provide a unique self-publishing service offering to authors.
